Meet Marblehead! One of our excellent customers, Kathy Brady of wolfeyesphotography.com, captured this photo on our 2/20 Seal Watching Cruise. When she saw the tag on her fin, Kathy sent it over to our naturalist Steve Abbondondelo, from The New York Marine Rescue Center to be identified.
It turns out Marblehead is a female Harbor Seal that The National Marine Life Institute located in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts! They brought her in for rehabilitation, was in their care, and released in the fall of 2020, and here she is today hanging out in Freeport Harbor, living her best life!
We thank the National Marine Life Institute and The New York Marine Rescue Center for all the amazing work they do. Clearly, they changed the outlook for this adorable little sea puppy and gave her the chance to live a long healthy life.
